about

'displaced' is the condition that could be applied
to the ever trembling dangle that held my voice.
whether it had been the crest of its own hum
or the knife i've known myself to brandish,
it has been loosed from my weak grip.
silence now holds my voice
with benign custody
upon the condition
of displacement
from who i am
apart from
who i
will
be

(i will find my voice again soon-
until then, enjoy this work that i have grown very fond of)

((i find it increasingly difficult to find time to spend with myself, getting to know myself, and listening to who i am and what i want- not out of direct laziness or futility- but rather as a symptom of our collective life under capitalism. Taught to glorify wealth as well as its pursuit, my passion is doused by heavy rain of lethargy and laziness in the little time I have to even plant the seeds that i know will likely drown, as the roots have already begun to rot. The most important thing I could do to begin the process of healing, loving, and therein radicalization and action, is to start at the beginning of who I am and what I know. This project allowed me to spend time with myself, as there were no words to distract me, and I hope the music here can be a similar river for you- carrying whatever vessel you might need it to.

with one tremendous glance in the mirror, I felt the presence of only myself, many selfs in one collective body, for the first time, maybe ever.))
